After 30 years of redefining luxury river cruising on the Yangtze, Century Cruises burst beyond familiar waters — crossing continents and landing firmly on the shores of the Atlantic, in Miami, the global capital of the cruise industry.

Our First Steps into the U.S. Market

Century Cruises officially entered the U.S. market at Seatrade Cruise Global Miami in April 2025. Ahead of the show, we personally invited every registered participant — offering them the opportunity to meet us one-on-one or attend David Fredericks, President and General Manager presentations.

The response exceeded all expectations

Those early conversations sparked lasting relationships. Many of the people who discovered Century Cruises at Seatrade are still our strongest supporters today — sharing our story, championing our vision, and believing deeply in our product and service. For that reason, we are already planning an even bigger presence at Seatrade 2026.

Taking the Yangtze to the World

That same month, WaterWays TV joined us aboard the Yangtze River to capture life onboard Century Cruises. The result was exceptional. The travel series launched globally on Go Traveller and Travel Escape, introducing Century Cruises to audiences watching on smart TVs around the world.

Strategic Partnerships & Milestones

At the end of April 2025, we signed a major agreement with Ensemble as our preferred partner agency group. This partnership marked a significant milestone — not only for Ensemble, but for Century Cruises.

Although we’ve worked with leading travel agencies worldwide, Century Cruises has always been selective about partnerships. Entering this collaboration during our 30th anniversary year was a meaningful moment, celebrating three decades of luxury cruising excellence in China.

Establishing Our U.S. Home

Behind the scenes, quiet but focused work was underway to establish a permanent home for Century Cruises in the United States.

By late May 2025, we dropped anchor at a state-of-the-art facility in Sunrise, Florida, near Miami and Fort Lauderdale — one of the world’s most important cruise hubs. The move drew immediate attention. The editor of Seatrade Cruise Magazine requested an exclusive interview with David, resulting in a two-page feature highlighting Century Cruises’ ambitious plans for expansion in Europe and Egypt.

And that was still only the first half of the year.

Controlled Growth, Decades in the Making

From the outside, our expansion may have looked fast — even unstoppable.
To us, it was neither rushed nor reactive.

Every move in 2025 was built on three decades of careful planning, experience, and vision. This was not a ship without cruise control — it was a company confidently navigating its next chapter.

Europe, Egypt & Beyond

In June 2025, Century Cruises officially announced plans to expand into Europe and Egypt, including investments in shipyards and the development of new vessels. We also shared our long-term vision for potential ocean cruising.

This wasn’t growth for growth’s sake.This was Century Cruises entering its next era.

Global Reach & Industry Recognition

July 2025 marked several major announcements:

• Entry into the global MICE market through a strategic partnership with Miami-based eGroup Communications, featuring across the X-Change® event series
• A partnership with Versonix, which described Century Cruises as entering “a bold new phase of international growth and innovation”
• Official entry into international operations through a strategic partnership with UNITED WATERWAYS, supporting our infrastructure and operations across Europe

Bringing the World to China

In September 2025, we welcomed top U.S. travel advisors on a 14-day immersive journey through China, showcasing the very best of Century Cruises and the Yangtze River.

The experience was transformative — and highly successful. So successful, in fact, that we’re planning to do it again. And again.

Because the best way to understand Century Cruises — and China — is to experience it firsthand.

This educational journey earned Century Cruises four prestigious Magellan Awards, recognizing our excellence, innovation, and leadership in sustainable luxury river cruising.

Looking Ahead: Century Star Arrives in Europe

As the year came to a close, we announced the arrival of our newest eco-luxury vessel, Century Star, in the heart of Europe. Her debut represents the next test — and affirmation — of Century Cruises’ vision: harmony, excellence, and eco-luxury on a global scale.
