A full day visit to the UNESCO site of the temples of Abu Simbel hidden deep in the Nubian desert. The temples are comprising of the Great Temple of Ramesses II and the Temple of Queen Nefertari, both rescued and relocated stone by stone to protect them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. The Great Temple was commissioned by Ramesses II over 3,200 years ago to celebrate his reign and demonstrate Egypt's power.
